Defendant Tony W. Matsamas appeals from his jury convictions of rape of a child and sodomy on a child. See Utah Code Ann. 76-5-402.1, -403.1 (1990). Matsamas argues, inter alia, that his convictions should be reversed because the trial court failed to make proper findings under section 76-5-411(2) of the Code before admitting evidence of the child victims hearsay statements. Utah Code Ann. 76-5-411(2) (1990). We agree and reverse and remand. For that reason, we need not reach defendants other arguments.
